Dana Hill

Dr. Dana Hill first came to MSA as a parent of a toddler.  She became involved in the Parent Panel group as a room mom and later became the Parent Panel coordinator. She also served on the MSA Board of Trustees for three years before joining the MSA staff as Assistant to the Administrator assisting with fundraising and special events in 2006.  In 2009 Dr. Hill was hired as MSA Administrator, serving for four years, until she returned to the position in 2018.  She graduated from Presbyterian College with a B.S. degree, double majoring in Psychology and Sociology.  She then earned a Master's and Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Georgia.  She also holds the Montessori Administrator credential from the American Montessori Society.  Dr. Hill is an active member of the SC Montessori Alliance board and the SC Independent School Association board.  She has also worked as an accreditation consultant and accreditation evaluator for SC Montessori Schools.  Dr. Hill is married to Dr. Ferrell Hill of Anderson, SC.  Their son Jack graduated from MSA in 2018 and is now working on his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at the Georgia Institute of Technology.  Their daughter Mary graduated from MSA in 2023 and is now at Clemson University double majoring in Biology and Spanish.
